These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Isabella Fugaro, an individual who publishes Flock ("we," "us" or "our"). They govern your use of the Flock app (also called Flock Faith) and the flockfaith.com website. By creating an account or using Flock, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Flock
- Flock is only for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account or to use Flock. When you sign up, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Members who joined before this confirmation was introduced are asked to confirm once. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.
- Flock is offered only in the United States.
- You must provide accurate account information, keep your password secure, and not share your account with anyone. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
2. Accounts and sign-in
You can create an account with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple. Sign in with Apple is linked to an existing Flock account only if Apple has verified the same email address, or if you connect it yourself under Account Security while signed in. Before using Flock, new members choose a unique username, confirm that they are 18 or older, and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post, including posts, comments, photos and events. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and distribute your content within Flock, as needed to operate the service (for example, to show your post to the members of a community). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that other members have already shared and copies we are required to keep, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may post only content that you have the right to share.
Flock accepts photos in JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC format. It does not accept video.
Anonymous posts. Where a community allows them, anonymous posts are shown without your name. Anonymous posts are text only. You remain responsible for them, and we may act on reports about them.
4. Community rules
Flock does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post content that is illegal, harassing, bullying, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, threatening, deceptive or spam. You may not impersonate others, share other people's private information, exploit or endanger anyone, disrupt Flock, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it.
Community owners and administrators may set additional rules for their communities, approve posts and members, and remove members. Flock automatically blocks certain words and links in posts, comments, names and events. This filter cannot catch everything, so please report anything that breaks these rules.
5. Communities, groups and events
- Owners and administrators manage their communities and groups, including membership, roles, posting rules and events.
- Posts in a private community are visible only to its members, and posts in a group are visible only to that group's members.
- Event organizers are responsible for their events. Recurring events are created as separate dates, and an RSVP applies only to the date you choose. Organizers may change or cancel dates, and we notify the people who RSVP'd.
- We do not organize or supervise events and are not responsible for what happens at them. Please use good judgment when meeting people in person.
6. Not affiliated with the Catholic Church
Flock is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Catholic Church, the Holy See, any diocese or any parish, unless a community clearly states that it is run by one. Content posted by members, communities and groups belongs to them and does not represent official Church teaching.
7. Prayer requests are not emergency help
Prayer requests and posts are shared with other members for prayer and support. Flock is not a crisis, emergency, medical or counseling service, and posts are not monitored in real time. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. If you are in emotional distress or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
8. Discover and third-party listings
Discover lists churches, Mass times and events from public third-party sources. We do not control these sources and cannot guarantee that their information is accurate or current. Listings from these sources are not Flock events. Saving one creates a private bookmark; it does not register you for the event. Please confirm details with the parish or organizer before you go.
9. Reporting, blocking and moderation
- You can report posts, comments, profiles, events and communities, and you can block other members, using the ••• menu.
- We review reports promptly. Urgent safety concerns, such as threats of harm or anything involving a child's safety, are handled first and escalated to law enforcement or to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where required. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put others at risk, and we remove members who post objectionable content.
- Contact us about a report, a safety concern or anything else at flockfaith.support@gmail.com, or in the app under Settings → Help & legal → Contact support. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
- Appeals. If you believe we made a mistake in removing your content or restricting your account, email flockfaith.support@gmail.com within 30 days of our decision. Include your username and a description of what happened. We will review your appeal and reply.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time, either in the app (Settings → Account Security → Delete my account) or at https://flockfaith.com/delete-account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Section 8 of our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your content, the communities you own and your events. We may also delete accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Flock is provided "as is" and "as available." We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of Flock at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
12. App stores
If you downloaded Flock from the App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for Flock or its content. If you downloaded Flock from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app. If you do not accept them, you may delete your account.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and applicable federal law of the United States. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless the law of the state where you live requires otherwise.
